We attended Student Mixer to facilitate exchange between 3rd year undergrads and grad students at the department of applied chemistry.

During the Student Mixer, long-rope jump tournament over chemistry department labs was held.
Our lab beat more than ten teams and become Champion!

We attended the SPSJ Chugoku-Shikoku Branch Workshop for Young Researchers.
Although we did not have any presention this year, we planned a quiz competition at the banquet, which was a great success.
It was a great opportunity to learn from professers at other universities and to have discussions with students.

　

In collaboration with the "68th Tokiwa Festival", Homecoming Day of Yamaguchi University Faculty of Engineering was held!

Our laboratory opened the booth “Let’s make beautiful colored slime!!” at 2017 Yamaguchi Chemistry Exhibition held by the SPSJ Chugoku-Shikoku Branch.
A lot of families visited our booth every day and enjoyed making colorful slimes.
Hope this event becomes one of your memories during the summer vacation!

We finished the interim meeting before summer vacation.
We needed alcohols to cure wounds we received during the meeting.
It was great time to have a beer party at the rooftop bar of ANA Crown Plaza Ube.

After summer vacation, we had lab cleaning session.
Let's countinue our progress also during the second half of the semester!

We had softball games over chemistry department labs this year.

This year we were managing the championships and we started preparing playing field from early in the morning.

　

　

Unfortunately, we did not qualify to next round this year....
Next year, we would like to aim for prize!

We held Welcome Party for New Members including Self-introduction, bowling competition, and drinking party.
This is great opportunity to become friends with each other.

We hope new members enjoy life in our lab and hopefully find something new and interesting!

Prof. Kazuhide Ueno, assistant professor at this laboratory, will be promoted as an Associate Professor at Yokohama National University from March 1st.
