Nursing Science
We all hope to realize a society in which we can live healthy and safe lives. Nursing professionals engaged in the care of people at every level of health are expected to play an active part in a wide range of healthcare and welfare. To meet such expectations, the Nursing Science Department aims to foster nursing professionals’ skills in appropriate judgement and problem-solving based on scientific bases, flexible thinking, and dealing with changes in social situations and the advancement of medicine from an international viewpoint. We provide curriculum tailored to life cycles and living places consisting of various nursing sciences, including home nursing science, public health nursing science, emergency nursing science, highly advanced medical nursing science, nursing genetics, and international nursing science, which can adapt and evolve with the times; all students take the national qualifying examination for nursing and public health nursing. Our goal is to foster highly skilled nursing professionals who can play an active role in nursing practices, education, and research through mastering advanced expertise and technologies as well as acquiring rich sensitivity, creativity, and ambition.
