Kogushi Campus Entry Restrictions
Since the Japanese Government declared a state of emergency over COVID-19 on April 16, Yamaguchi University has introduced a policy that prohibits professors from conducting classes on site and students from entering the campus.
Considering the Faculty’s peculiarities, including the fact that the hospital is located on the premises and that the curriculum is unique since it is reserved for the state examination, we prohibited our students from entering the hospital. At the same time, to prevent a decline in the educational functions, we introduced conditions for students to enter the campus, which are separate from the university conditions. These conditions have a higher priority than the university’s general conditions; therefore, please adhere to them when entering the Kogushi Campus.
Even though you are allowed to enter the campus and be engaged in activities under these conditions, it is essential to avoid the three C’s (confined spaces, crowded places, and close contact) and record the daily changes in your health condition. Further, we will control your entry and exit as follows:
(Activities for which you will be allowed to enter the Kogushi Campus)
1.When you use the university LAN, including Wi-Fi, because you cannot receive remote lectures (online classes) at home.
2.When you attend courses such as practical lectures or their alternative lectures, which are difficult to conduct online.
3.When you are engaged in research activities under the supervision of your supervisor.
4.Other activities deemed necessary by the Dean, including certificate issuance.
Although the university allows students to use the university libraries, you are prohibited from using the library at the Kogushi Campus because it is small and will become crowded.
You can enter “Ishinkan” ‘for a short time and you should avoid the three C’s.
(How to control your entry and exit)
For Activity 1 and 2, you should notify the educational affairs section regarding the day and time of entry, your student ID number, name, and phone number beforehand by email (me233@yamaguchi-u.ac.jp). When you enter the campus, please go to the educational affairs section first. The staff will check your temperature and inform you about the classroom that you can enter to receive lectures. Further, you are required to fill in the necessary details on the designated register.
For Activities 3, each department will check your physical condition and inform the educational affairs section about your condition.
