Rwanda was featured at the 5th Africa Fair
As a part of the "Inter-University Exchange Project" adopted by MEXT in 2020, the 5th Africa Fair was held on October 19, 2023.
This time, Niyonzima Yvan Bienvenu, a first-year doctoral student from the Joint Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine gave an introduction to his home country of Rwanda. The audience listened intently to his talk about Rwanda's economy and nature as a landlocked country, as well as the 'African miracle' of overcoming a horrific history to become an IT-oriented nation.
After the presentations, some questions came up from a South Asian student, which brought a smile to presenter’s face. We hope that the Africa Fair will gradually promote student exchange and cross-cultural understanding not only between Japan and Africa, but also between Asia and Africa.
