Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) concluded with the University of Nairobi
On 15 December 2023, Yamaguchi University concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Nairobi. With the aim of developing student and research exchange between the universities, Prof. Gitau (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Nairobi) visited our university in September 2023 and discussed the MoU conclusion. Immediately after this, on 25 September, Prof. Hayasaka (Joint Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Yamaguchi University) paid a courtesy call to Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama of the University of Nairobi. The universities agreed to promote university-wide student and research exchange, leading to the signing of an MoU in December.
The University of Nairobi, one of the top universities in Kenya and East Africa, has 11 campuses and about 40 000 students. The MoU is expected to enhance student and research exchanges between the two universities across various fields.
