The Institute was established in October 2023 with the aim of becoming an international research and development center that will successively create seeds for next-generation cell and gene therapies based on innovative cell design technology, which is one of Yamaguchi University’s strengths.
By developing and promoting advanced cancer immunotherapy, we aim to cure many patients. At the same time, we are working to extend the healthy lifespan of both humans and companion animals by creating a virtuous cycle in which the world’s first genome-edited genetic disease treatment is applied to companion animals, and the results are fed back to human medicine.
