This is a FREE Zoom Meeting. The organizer welcomes participation of not only alumni of Yamaguchi
University but also those who are interested in disaster prevention and
the environment. Those who attend the seminar, please fill out the Application for Participation by Thursday, March 3, 2022, 11:00 p.m. (JST/UTC+9).

Overview
Continuing from the first seminar in March 2021, the Center for Local Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (CLDPM), Yamaguchi University hosts “The 2nd International Alumni Online Seminar on Disaster Prevention and Environment” for Yamaguchi University alumni and students. The seminar aims to share the recent activities of alumni, and to provide a place for interaction among alumni from various countries and students at Yamaguchi University. It also focuses on sharing local disasters and environmental problems and creating opportunities for international research cooperation. In this seminar, we hold a special session about the heavy rain disaster in the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (East Timor) that occurred immediately after the first seminar. The organizer welcomes participation of not only Yamaguchi University alumni and students but also those who are interested in disaster prevention and the environment.
