Associate Professor Tomoaki Murata of the Institute of Life Science and Medicine, Organization for Research Initiatives, visited Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta (UIN) in Indonesia from August 28 to September 4, 2023.

UIN has concluded the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with our university, and this year marks the fifth year since the conclusion of the MOU, and this year marks the renewal of the MOU. For this reason, Associate Professor Murata paid a courtesy visit to UIN Rector Professor Asep Saepudin JAHAR, MA Ph.D., and then a signing ceremony for the renewal MOU was held.

In addition to the exchange of opinions with UIN staff on research and technology, a visit to the university-affiliated hospital, and special lectures and practical training for UIN students, the visit was meaningful for both universities in deepening their ties.

After the MOU was signed in October 2017, sufficient exchanges were not possible due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19, but now that the restrictions have been eased, active exchanges with UIN are expected to take place.
