On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, Mr Hiromichi Muraoka, Director General of JICA Chugoku in Higashihiroshima, visited our university and held a meeting with President Yukio Tanizawa. The meeting was also attended by Senior Advisor to the Vice President for International Affairs Ikufumi Tomimoto and Professor Takeo Ishikawa of the Faculty of Economics, both of whom bring extensive practical experience from their time at JICA.

　They engaged in a lively exchange of views on a wide range of topics, including international cooperation, the rapidly developing African region, and the current state of universities in the United States, which continues to face turmoil.

　During the meeting, the partnership agreement between JICA and our university was renewed, confirming our continued commitment to international collaboration and academic advancement.
