YAMAGUCHI UNIVERSITY

Visit from the School of Business, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW)

On 1 October 2025, Yamaguchi University welcomed five faculty members and forty-two executive students from the School of Business, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).

This visit was organised in connection with the signing of a MoU between the Graduate School of Innovation and Technology Management (MOT) at Yamaguchi University and the FHNW Institute of Management. Following the signing ceremony, Prof. Arie Verkuil, Head of the Institute, and other faculty members met with Prof. Yuri Ishii, Vice-President for International Cooperation.

The visitors also enjoyed a calligraphy workshop, offering them an opportunity to experience Japanese culture. Under the guidance of Lecturer Shoko Nakano and with the assistance of Japanese student supporters for international students, they eagerly practised calligraphy during the one-hour session, creating a lively and memorable atmosphere.

Through this visit, it is expected that the academic and research exchanges between MOT and the FHNW Institute of Management will be further strengthened and expanded in the future.
