On Friday, 17 October 2025, Ms Angela Day, Senior International Admissions Counsellor at Kent State University (Ohio, USA), visited Yamaguchi University. Since concluding our agreement in 2023, both universities have actively promoted a student exchange programme; in June, Associate Professor Anthony Tosi also visited to introduce Ohio and Kent State University to our students.

　Ms Day met with International Office staff to discuss practical matters related to student exchange, including our campus environment, support for international students, and common challenges they may face, based on questions she shared beforehand. She then joined a campus tour, where she observed student life and extra-curricular activities and spoke with both Japanese and international students.

　The exchange programme with Kent State began in spring 2025. Yamaguchi University will continue to strengthen this partnership with an institution experienced in hosting Japanese students, and will further enhance support systems to confidently send our students abroad.
