Visit by Ho Chi Minh City Officials and Enterprise Executives
On Thursday, 27 November 2025, a 19-member delegation from Ho Chi Minh City, including Võ Văn Minh, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Council, senior officials, and executives from Becamex, visited Yamaguchi University. They met with Vice President Yuri Ishii and Professor Tetsuji Umada, Faculty of Economics.
Ho Chi Minh City hosts around 60 national and international universities, and the delegation expressed interest in expanding future academic exchange with Yamaguchi University. Earlier in March, Professor Umada also visited Eastern International University and Becamex in Ho Chi Minh City.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the agricultural laboratory of the Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation. They were guided by three Vietnamese postgraduate students and showed great interest in their research.
Building on the long-standing friendship between Ho Chi Minh City and Yamaguchi Prefecture, Yamaguchi University will continue to strengthen ties with major universities and enterprises to promote student exchange, contributing to the internationalisation of both the university and the region.
