We held Talk Show on International Cooperation #7

On Wednesday, 8 October 2025, the 7th International Cooperation Talk Show – Africa & Asia was held in a lecture room of the Faculty of Economics.

The first session featured Mr KATO Erisa, a Rwandan master’s student at the Graduate School of Humanities and Economic Sciences, who spoke about recent developments in Rwanda and gender-related issues.

In the second session, we connected live with Ms Yuna Namba, a JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteer working in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda. She shared the local situation and her current activities. We also appreciate the support of Ms Mika Mizuno of JICA Chugoku in arranging the connection.

Students gained real-time insights into African social issues, peacebuilding, and global influences on local activities. The session generated active discussion, with questions continuing beyond the scheduled time.

The Talk Show will continue to be held regularly to promote understanding of Africa and to encourage further engagement with the region.

The event was held in English, with Japanese interpretation provided by Prof. Tomimoto, Faculty of Economics.
