On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, Vice President WANG Shoujun and four others from Beijing Normal University of China, an international exchange partner, came to Yamaguchi University to attend the signing ceremony for the renewal of the agreement and pay a courtesy call to the university president. Since the signing of the international exchange agreement between Yamaguchi University and Beijing Normal University in February 2004, the two universities have continued to strengthen exchanges of researchers and students, including the annual participation of our students in short-term language training programs conducted by Beijing Normal University. Since November of this year marks the renewal month of the agreement, a signing ceremony for the renewal agreement was held in time with the visit of Vice-President WANG and his delegation. After the signing ceremony, a meeting with President TANIZAWA was held to reaffirm the continuation of the good relationship between Yamaguchi University and Beijing Normal University.

After the courtesy call on the President, a meeting was held with Prof. GE, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. TOMIMOTO, Senior Advisor of Vice President for International Cooperation, and Associate Prof. EN Faculty of Economics. During the meeting, opinions were exchanged regarding the possibility of exchange with Beijing Normal University’s Zhuhai campus and business school.

Through this visit, it was a good opportunity to expand the possibilities for exchange between the two universities, and we look forward to further active exchange and development in the future.
