On December 20 (Thu.) and 21 (Fri.), 2023, Dr. Abe Susanto, a senior lecturer at Diponegro University in Indonesia and a visiting professor at Yamaguchi University, visited YU to strengthen relations between Indonesia and YU. Dr. Susanto has worked for the Indonesian Ministry of Education (DIKNAS) and has been promoting cooperation with YU regarding the study of Indonesian students at YU.

During his stay, he met with Dr. Yuri ISHII, Vice President for International Cooperation, to discuss the launch of the project with the University of Diponegro, and also met with Indonesian students enrolled at the university.

YU has selected Indonesia as one of its priority countries for academic exchange. In cooperation with Dr. Abe, we will continue to implement various initiatives with Indonesia.
