Exchange Programme with Students from The Education University of Hong Kong

On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, sixteen students from The Education University of Hong Kong visited our university to take part in an exchange programme featuring lectures, workshops, and cultural activities.

Following the success of last year’s programme, this year’s exchange was held under the leadership of Mr Charles Chan, Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies.

The programme began with a lecture on Japanese history and a workshop on the theme “Images of Hong Kong and Japan,” where students exchanged ideas and deepened their mutual understanding. In the afternoon, participants introduced the cultures of Japan, Yamaguchi, and Hong Kong before enjoying a performance and dance experience with our university’s official Yosakoi dance group, “Yosakoi Yassan!!”

Our Japanese and international students organised the ice-breaking activities, led the campus tour, and served as MCs, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere and encourage interaction among the participants. The exchange strengthened friendship and mutual understanding between the students, and we look forward to further developing the partnership between our two universities.
