Scholarship students visited our university from Gyeongsang National University (South Korea).

On Friday, January 5, 2024, 25 scholarship students and faculty members visited Yamaguchi University from Gyeongsang National University in South Korea, which is a university with which we have an international exchange agreement. This visit is part of a Japan visit program organized by the Gyeongsang National University Scholarship Foundation to broaden the scholarship recipients’ overseas insight. The purpose of the event was to promote a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and history.

The day began with an exchange student from a Korean university giving a presentation about their life at Yamaguchi University. Everyone at Gyeongsang National University was able to directly hear the voices of international students, and they listened intently, and there were several questions and answers. Also, the international students’ presentations were praised.

Next, they toured the Library and the Commercial Goods Museum as part of a campus tour. At the Library, explanations were given about the facilities available to students and how to use them, and at the Commercial Goods Museum, many historical exhibits were toured with the interest and enthusiasm of visitors.

Finally, the International Affairs Division gave an introduction about the exchange program, bringing the day’s program to a close.
