YAMAGUCHI UNIVERSITY

Job-based Research Internships

Yamaguchi University participates in the “Job-Based Research Internship Promotion Council” promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and supports the construction of diverse career paths for doctoral students by sending them to companies for a certain period of time!

What is a job-based research internship!

  • Students (for the time being, doctoral students are eligible) participate in research activities at a company in Japan for more than two months on a paid basis (starting salary level).
  •  Eligible students earn credit for courses in the regular education program.
  • After completion of the internship, an interview evaluation is conducted with the student, and an evaluation form and evaluation certificate are issued.
  • The evaluation by the host company will be reflected in the company’s recruitment and selection process.

Job-based research internships can expand your career possibilities, enable you to objectively assess your own expertise, and cultivate practical skills backed by research capabilities.
