On Friday, October 3, 2025, we will hold a symposium titled “The Integration of Human and Veterinary Medicine: Opening New Horizons for Human and Animal Health” at Kamefuku On Place.
Yamaguchi University established the Research Institute for Cell Design and Medical Science in October 2023 with the aim of becoming an international research and development hub that leverages its strengths in innovative cell design technology to continuously create cutting-edge medical technology seeds for both humans and animals. Among its achievements, the institute has extensive experience in veterinarian-led clinical trials of cancer antibody drugs for companion animals such as dogs and cats, and is leading the development of animal drugs. At this symposium, we will hear lectures from experts active in academia and industry, focusing on research grounded in veterinary medicine, about the latest trends in veterinary medical research and development.
The symposium aims to explore strategies for realizing future healthcare through industry-academia-government collaboration, with the theme of how to create medical innovation through the integration of medicine and veterinary medicine, and how to achieve human and animal health.
