*Announcement* Symposium “Human and Animal Health: New Horizons Through the Integration of Human and Veterinary Medicine” Held

On Friday, October 3, 2025, The Research Institute for Cell Design and Medical Science Symposium “Human and Animal Health: New Horizons Through the Integration of Human and Veterinary Medicine” was held at Kamefuku On Place.

This symposium is held annually, with this year’s event primarily focused on veterinary medicine.

It began with an opening address by President Tanizawa, who expressed the desire to leverage Yamaguchi University’s strength in “integration of knowledge” to contribute to realizing a society where people live healthy, long lives. Following this, Director Tamada spoke of the institute’s determination to advance research toward realizing its vision: “A society where humans and companion animals live healthy, long lives and coexist.”

Subsequently, five distinguished professors active at the forefront of this field delivered presentations.

We sincerely hope this symposium provided all participants with a fruitful experience, allowing them to tangibly feel the infinite potential of integrating human and veterinary medicine and how it will transform future society.

Through such activities, our institute will continue to make further strides toward achieving its mission.
