＊Report＊Open Call Briefing & Drug Discovery Seminar held
On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the “Crossover Project Open Call Briefing” and the “Drug Discovery Seminar by FUJIFILM Toyama Chemical” were held in the Seminar Room on the 5th floor of Ishukan, Kogushi Campus.
The first session featured a presentation by SURA Shiozaki regarding the open call for the Crossover Project. In the second session, we welcomed Mr. Shoji, Senior Manager at FUJIFILM Toyama Chemical Co., Ltd., as our guest speaker. The two-hour event was filled with excitement for the “future of medicine,” illustrating how the combination of university research and corporate technology can lead to the creation of innovative drugs and therapies.
The seminar featured a unique and refreshing format: FUJIFILM Toyama Chemical kindly provided bento lunches for the participants, allowing everyone to enjoy the lecture while dining. It was a meaningful session that satisfied both the mind and the appetite. The Institute will continue to pursue such activities as we strive toward achieving our mission and reaching even greater heights.
