＊Report＊The 2nd RICeD Colloquium Held
On Thursday, April 16, 2026, the “2nd RICeD Colloquium” took place at the Seminar Room, 5th floor of Ishukan on the Ogushi Campus.
The event featured research presentations by Professor Shunsuke Tanigawa and Professor Riki Kawamata, newly appointed professors in the Office for Promoting Interdisciplinary Research. We were privileged to hear passionate lectures cultivated at the forefront of their respective fields, including insightful explanations incorporating their most recent data.
Following the presentations, several informative sessions were held:
The Kogushi URA Office provided updates on various funding opportunities and projects, including the Crossover Project, AI for Science/SPReAD1000, the JST Support for Emergent Research and Support for the Startup of Joint Research (iAca).
The Administration Department introduced the “RICeD Research Synergy Search Tool” (utilizing NotebookLM), and shared information regarding support for press release creation and the effective use of the Institute’s official website.
A poster session was also held, providing a platform for an active exchange of ideas and deepening interactions among members. In a free and open atmosphere, researchers who do not typically interact had the opportunity to connect, raising high expectations for the emergence of new research collaborations.
Our institute will continue these activities as we strive toward fulfilling our mission and achieving further breakthroughs.
