Commencement of Partnership to Globally Expand AI Medical Devices Supporting Personalized Asthma Treatment: Advancing Personalized Medicine to Bridge Healthcare Disparities through Machine Learning Based on Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO)
Yamaguchi University and Nozomi MedAlliance Co., Ltd. have launched a collaborative initiative aimed at the global expansion of an AI-driven Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) designed to provide optimal personalized treatment for asthma patients.
This project has been selected for the “Medical Device Research and Development Promotion Program (Challenge Type)” by the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED). By leveraging proprietary machine learning technology based on Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO), the initiative aims to deliver advanced personalized medicine even to regions such as low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) that lack specialized diagnostic equipment and medical specialists. Through this effort, the partnership seeks to bridge global healthcare disparities and promote the widespread adoption of digital health technologies.
