*Report* Symposium was held to commemorate the establishment of the Research Institute for Cell Design Medicine.
On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, “Symposium Commemorating the Establishment of the Research Institute for Cell Design Medical Science(RICeD)” was held at the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Ube.
RICeD was established in October 2023 as Yamaguchi University’s first research institute in 23 years, aiming to become an international research and development center to create seeds of next-generation cell therapy and gene therapy based on innovative cell design technology, which is one of Yamaguchi University’s strengths. This symposium was held as a kick-off event to commemorate the establishment.
The symposium was filled with the enthusiasm of the audience as world-renowned lecturers from various fields of research at the institute gathered from all over Japan for the occasion to deliver their original lectures. The audience was also able to share their perspectives on the importance of each research field from the perspectives of finance, government, and consulting, and the role that the institute should play.
Through such activities, the Institute will continue to make further strides toward achieving its mission.
